About

Aloha!
My name is Sung-Yeh Naomi Nordquist aka Sunny and I am the heart & soul of Iridescently Sunny. Born & raised in New York in a Japanese American household(with a mix of ancestry of Swedish, English, Irish, Scottish, French) & now living in Hawai'i. I have a background in culinary arts and currently learning how to become a doula. I love art & jewelry and pieces that are unique. I hope my handmade jewelry brings you joy, beauty and a taste of Hawai'i.
All shells are always collected empty by beachcombing & snorkeling.
Mahalo for supporting my small hobby business!
Story
During my first visit to Hawai'i in May 2021, I visited the Kaka’ako Farmers Market and bought my first pair of pearl earrings and a miter shell necklace. I was amazed that pearls & shells from the ocean could be transformed into jewelry. A year later, I learned that the artist who made my pearl earrings had moved to Okinawa and was exclusively selling her jewelry there. There was no hope for me to buy more of her pearl earrings unless I traveled to Okinawa. That was when I was determined & inspired to teach myself how to make my own jewelry. For now it's just earrings but eventually necklaces, bracelets and rings too.
